The 9 Styles

Style 1

Are known to be quality performers, responsible, idealistic, ethical, conscientious, well organised, neat and principled. They look to correct errors and are always striving for improvement and excellence. There is a definite right way and wrong way to do things and they try to maintain high standards both in themselves and in others. They have an incredible ability to sense how to improve situations.

At their worst - They can become perfectionist, critical and judgemental with an ongoing internal critic that berates them.




Style 2

These are the caring, empathic, warm-hearted, self-sacrificing, and generous people. The seek approval and have a strong need to be important to others. They are excellent at meeting other people's needs, to the point that they recognise them before they do. They enjoy being the 'power behind the throne'. They enjoy making a difference to those around them, and to the world.

At their worst - They can be seen to be doing things for others in order to be needed in return. They may become manipulative by way of making others feel indebted to them for all their kindness and may demand a return of favour.




Style 3

These styles are success-oriented, confident, attractive, charming and adaptable. They are high-energy, multi-tasking people, and they make things happen. They have the ability to adjust to any situation and blend into their environment. They are inspirational performers with a strong understanding of the power of image. They are competitive and efficient, and tend to avoid failure.

At their worst - They can be self promoting workaholics who will choose career and tasks before relationships.




Style 4

Are known to be sensitive, original, introspective, individualistic, artistic and self-aware. They often display intense emotional reactions to others with their desire to be met emotionally. They have an affinity with beautiful objects and anything symbolic. They bring an original flavour and a creative flair to most situations. They are often dramatic and have the ability to 'present' in the more difficult moments of life, drawing on the depths of their experiences.

At their worst - They are jealous of what others have and dissatisfied with present day life. They live either in the past or future and hold the belief that they are flawed and that there is always something missing from their lives.




Style 5

The 5's are extremely independent, private, detached and intense, with strong observational skills. They are highly intellectual and focused and have mental clarity and deep concentration to research and process complex information and systems. They can be wise teachers if they are prepared to share their knowledge with others. They dislike and will avoid dramatic displays of emotions and large social gatherings. Their need for privacy and sometimes secrecy, can lead them to withdrawing from the outside world. They will identify with the saying 'knowledge is power'.

At their worst - They can be cold, detached and arrogant with an inner belief of having intellectual superiority over others. They can be prone to spend too much time 'thinking' rather than taking 'action' by living too much in their heads.




Style 6

These styles are committed and tremendously loyal to those people and causes they believe in. They are security orientated and prefer to be around trusted family members or within group situations where they feel safe. They have a 'sixth sense' in being able to scan an environment for potential danger or hidden threats. They have an inner belief that most people can't be trusted.

At their worst - They are suspicious, paranoid, anxious and indecisive. Their outlook is 'glass half empty' and they identify with worst-case scenarios.




Style 7

The Style 7's are upbeat, impulsive, curious, entrepreneurial, optimistic, visionary adventurous and worldly-wise. Life's Good if you are a 7. They see the world through rose coloured glasses and every cloud has a silver lining. They like to keep constantly busy and love to have limitless opportunities and new experiences. They are highly accomplished; spontaneous, big picture people, who are great brainstormers and excellent networkers. They are often the ones on the 'invite list' due to their happy and joyful personalities.

At their worst - They can be scattered, unfocused, impatient and over extended by trying to juggle to many future possibilities at one time.




Style 8

These styles are known to be strong, assertive, protective, self confident, grounded, high-energy people. They are quick and direct decision makers who are usually found amongst the 'captains of industry.' They have no problem in standing up to others albeit in a domineering or outspoken manner; others often fear this Style. They will avoid small or fuzzy talk preferring to intimidate or overpower others in order to maintain control. They can experience trouble with relationships for fear of becoming vulnerable or loosing control of their independence.

At their worst - They can become aggressive and sadistic bullies, who will enjoy seeing others, squirm. This Style is the most self-referencing of all of the Styles.




Style 9

Are easygoing, trusting, grounded and peace loving, with an uncanny ability to see all sides of an issue. They are driven to avoid disharmony and conflict and will prefer to just 'go with the flow'. As a result, they make great mediators. They have an innate ability to simply merge or blend with others; this can lead them to living their lives mostly in the background. They can be self-forgetting and have a tendency to sit on the fence when it comes to decision making. They often lack confidence in their true abilities. Their inherent self-image gives them the gift of bringing people together harmoniously and with healing conflicts. It is said that the 9's can life most of there lives half asleep unless they have been awakened at mid life or have undertaken a spiritual journey.

At their worst - They are stubborn, procrastinating and passive-aggressive and can easily zone out for days or weeks at a time.
